Dr Terri Bird

Terri Bird is an artist, primarily practicing with Bianca Hester and Scott Mitchell as the collaborative group OSW. In 2017 OSW will present Converging in time, at MUMA, Melbourne, continuing their ongoing investigation into the forces of formation. She is also a senior lecturer in the Department of Fine Art, MADA, Monash University. Her essay ‘Registering surfaces, excavating inheritances’, which includes a discussion of the artworks of Theresa Keogh and Nicholas Mangan, is in Deleuze Studies 10.4 (2016). ‘Figuring Materiality’ focusing on the artwork of Fiona Abicare was published in Angelaki in 2011. She has also published essays in a number of artists’ catalogues including, ‘Thickness of things’ for Everything far away can be near again, an exhibition by Adam Cruickshank, Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts, Melbourne 2014.
