Dijana Alić

Dijana Alić holds a Senior Lecturer position in design, history and theory in the Faculty of the Built Environment, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Dijana studied at the University of Sarajevo and The University of New South Wales. Her research interest focuses on the relationship between modernity and national expression in architecture, particularly in the context of (post-World War 2) 'Eastern' Europe. In her teaching Dijana draws inspiration as well as theoretical underpinning from her research. In developing the design curriculum she aims to enhance the links between architectural design and broader socio-political contexts.
