Jill Carrick

Jill Carrick teaches art history at Carleton University and is cross-appointed to the Department of Art History and the Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Culture.
Jill graduated with a BA and MA from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College, U.S.A. Following her doctorate she received a Killam Postdoctoral Fellowhip at the University of British Columbia in interdisciplinary studies.
She has participated in numerous conferences some of which include: “Colloque: Michel Ragon, Critique d’art et d’architecture”, INHA, Paris, June 2010; “Breathless Days”, UBC, Vancouver, May 2010; CAA (Chicago 2010)’; CIHA (Melbourne, 2008); the Association of Art Historians’ Annual Conference, (Belfast, 2007, Chair of “1968: Activist Art and Its Legacies”); L’Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA, Paris, 2006); the Winthrop-King Institute for Contemporary French and Francophone Studies, “Cold War France and America: New Perspectives: International Conference”, Florida State University, 2005.
