Dr. Gary Sangster has international experience as an art educator, curator, writer, and museum director in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the USA. He was Curator at The New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, and Director of the Contemporary Museum, Baltimore, an innovative museum dedicated to collaboration and intervention with civic, cultural, and educational institutions across Baltimore; Executive Director of Headlands Center for the Arts, San Francisco, a West coast leading artist in residence program; Director of Artspace, Sydney; and Dean of the Art Institute of Boston, Lesley University, in Boston.
