Catherine Baker lectures across the BA and MA Fine Art programmes at Norwich University College of the Arts. She studied for her first degree at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design and completed her MA in Drawing at Wimbledon School of Art, London. She is currently completing her PhD through the RIMAD Research Centre at the University of Bedfordshire. She has worked collaboratively with scientists within the UK and has recently been invited to be the first Artist-in-Residence at the newly constructed Clinical Research Imaging Centre [CRIC] in Bristol. Her research interests focus on the physicality of the drawing process and visual perception within drawing and she has presented international conference papers on these areas of interest. She has also exhibited / published her work both within the UK and internationally and she has been invited to be International Artist in Residence at the National Art School in Sydney in Spring 2011.
