Ayelet Karmon

Ayelet Karmon is an architect, senior lecturer and faculty member at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. Her research focuses on textiles and soft structures and the ways they inform digital fabrication processes and material specification in architecture. Ayelet teaches crossdisciplinary courses for students from both the Textile Design Department and the Department of Interior – Building and Environment Design. Her teaching focuses on the implications of physical and imbedded computing on the built environment. She also teaches in Tel Aviv University, in the Azrieli School of Architecture. Ayelet holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Technion and a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University. She is the winner of the 2011 Shenkar Faculty Prize for Creativity and Innovation.
