Elisa Giaccardi

Elisa Giaccardi is Chair of Interactive Media Design in the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. Her early work on meta-design has been foundational to approaches such as web 2.0. She is the editor of Heritage and Social Media (Routledge, 2012), in which she uses heritage as a lens to understand the impact of social media on participatory values and practices. She is also editor of the forum Connected Everyday for Interactions, a leading magazine by ACM Press on interaction design research and practice. Her research reflects a persistent concern with design as a shared process of cultivation and management of opportunity spaces.
