(Im)materialising Time
When time is a factor in research themes, questions arise as to its materiality or immateriality. Some investigations bring to light how time manifests or how actions become apparent through temporal flux. Others reveal aspects of how time is exposed through processes of materialising, dematerialising, eroding, accreting and durational change. The generative capacity of time links it with creative practices that enable us to twist free from oppositional logic, gesturing toward the indeterminacy of all things. The essays in this volume cover a range of design practices with a theoretical and philosophical relationship to time.
