SMT is no longer accepting submissions | Funding for publication came to an end in 2017
AUT University advises that the research journal Studies in Material Thinking was discontinued after the publication of Volume 17.
After a decade of publishing under the direction of Editor-in-Chief, Nancy de Freitas, there is no more funding to support this pioneering initiative. Authors and researchers are advised to archive their published papers in their own institutional research repositories using the approved SMT format PDF, since the current AUT website may not remain intact after 2020. The Editor-in-Chief would like to thank all researchers, authors, co-editors and readers who have contributed to the success of this timely project over the decade in which it has been active. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies, AUT University and all the art and design institutions whose financial support for academic staff has enabled the publication of their research contributions.
